Today we went to china town as we had heard it was one of the largest and let's not lie... we fancied a bit of egg fried rice!
The china town here is huuuge and did not disappoint, it is crammed full of little stores, restaurants and cafe's. We found ourselves wandering around for ages taking in the atmosphere and trying to find somewhere to eat, everywhere started to blur into one in the end so we just picked the next one we saw and went in.
At home we are terrible for ordering too much, but order it regardless however here they decided to tell us that!! And at one point our waiter tried to walk away after saying 'too much! Too much' - poor guy was obviously completely baffled by the mass of food we were asking for. Once the food arrived we realised his fears - mountains of food arrived just as we started to feel full from our starter. Standard. (picture included).
We asked to take the rest home and were both delighted to see we got given it in a box!!! Like the ones they have in 'friends' AMAZING!! This meant we had to carry a huge bag of Chinese around with us all day, so any passers by thought I smelled of oil and sweet and sour sauce... Brilliant.
After our china town extravaganza we headed to a bookstore called 'City Llights Books''. The store was lovely and full of little trinkets on the walls and was overflowing with books from all over to suit anyone. I'm not a big reader by any standard but found myself wanting to buy all of them after reading the staff recommendations and looking through their mix of psychology books. Sparks of course was in her element and had to force herself not to take the whole store back with her, once stocked up on books we decided to head into town and find some girly shops, this of course meant Urban outfitters for Amy, Sephora for me and Forever 21 for both of us!
These glorious shops were on the same street so we had a euphoric afternoon window shopping/budget spending on things we needed to buy to improve our lives - such as eyelid primers and more shirts!
Hahaha! Epic food overload fail! We did it in Liverpool China Town, if you recall, my dear... xx Pa
