Today we set off on our long hot drive to Phoenix, Arizona. On our way we stopped at sand dunes in the south east end of California near Brawley.
The change in weather during the day was crazy, it went from a cool 21 in San Diego to a whopping 32 further south east near the border to a crazy 42 degrees when we reached Phoenix! 42 degrees at 7pm might I add!!
We were all sleepy after the long trip and lord knows how our poor CEO felt after driving us around all day whilst making sure everything was set up for us in Phoenix. Our hotel was amazing and was a welcome taste of luxury after camping. In the evening we went out to dinner in Scottsdale, a suburb of Phoenix and had a beaut meal. I had an amazing steak that was rete tender whilst Sparks had a beaut mushroom risotto party.
During the meal our end of the table were ordering cocktails and beers and spent most of the evening talking about alcohol/being drunk. Us two and the English girls are starting to realise how much alcohol is a part of our life in the UK, quite embarrassing really!! Haha!!
The best bit of the night though had to be the drive back to the hotel. The back of the bus has turned into the 'party bus' area so we were all merrily laughing at the hilariously named shops/restaurants - we appeared to be living in Phoenix's red light district! 'Big Pawn' and 'Babes Cabaret' but the restaurant names that had us in stitches were 'Grill N' Chill' and 'Churches Chicken' which Andre thought was 'Churches Kitchen' hence the lolz!
Once back at the hotel we all went back to Peters room for drinks, Peter managed to get his own private room at every stop so his rooms have all been allocated as the 'party room'.
Our group is lovely and great fun, we've even been practising our German with Jenny and Maria! Although mine only consists of me randomly shouting 'Ich bin Glucklich!' and Amy shouting 'Winkelmesser'!
Tomorrow we go to the Grand Canyon!! Very excited!!

Kitty I hope you shared some of your stories from being drunk. You're probably one of the funniest/messiest drunks I know...!
